Brief description of the main scopes

My research focuses mainly on the conservation of Eurasian reptiles. Using molecular markers, I want to understand the phylogeographic relationship between species, as well as evaluate the genetic diversity and the gene flow between populations. Genetic analyses could also help to determine the prey-predation network, which is of particular interest to determine the impact of introduced species. All these aspects are always investigated in order to improve the knowledge on the ecology of reptile species and try to protect them in the most efficient way.
